As we start heading towards FREEZING temperatures, here are some tips for keeping your pets warm and safe in the extreme cold:
Massage petroleum jelly or other paw protectants into paw pads before going outside to help protect from salt and chemical agents (booties can provide even more coverage!)
Keep your furry friends well fed and hydrated in order to stay warm and keep skin from cracking!
Make sure your pet has a warm place to sleep
Antifreeze is a lethal poison for dogs and cats; clean up any spills, and do not leave them unattended where this might be accessible
We hope you stay warm and safe with your winter cuddle buddies this season! For more information and tips, check out https://www.aspca.org/pet-care/general-pet-care/cold-weather-safety-tips#:~:text=Feeding%20your%20pet%20a%20little,and%20away%20from%20all%20drafts.
